How to reinvent yourself after 40, 50 and beyond!

Something that you need to know is that it doesn't matter how old you are, you are not stuck! You can become a brand new version of yourself and reinvent an entirely new you, no matter what age. I don't care if you're 40, 50, 60. I don't care if you're 100 years old - you can change and become a new version of you NOW!
In this article I'm going to touch on THE key Concept where you can shift into a whole new version of yourself and never be the same again.
Your life as it exists right now can look totally different 5 Years From now. you hold the power in your hands.
However to do so you're going to have to like go of old patterns and beliefs that keep you stuck in the past. I am going to give you the key to changing your life and becoming who you want to be. want to know what it is?
It's all about the story that you are telling yourself. What you say to yourself and about yourself will ultimately become your reality. It will become the story that you are living in, and the lens that you see yourself through that colors your whole world.
If you change your inner script, the way that you talk about yourself, you will change the world around you. No one else can do this for you, only you have the power to change what's going on Within yourself.
When an actor Agrees to play a part in a movie, They will receive a script. The script is literally written down for them. It's going to describe the character in that particular movie. How they think, what their personality is like and how they see the world. Have you ever taken the moment to consider that you are the actor in your own personal movie of life?
If you don't like the part that you are playing then you can choose to change your character by rewriting the script.
Let me give you an example from my own life. About 10 years ago my children were all growing up and I was starting to feel that I was no longer needed so much in their life. I had been a stay-at-home mom for a number of years and I was wondering what I was going to do with myself.
I had recently turned 40 and decided that I needed to start taking better care of my body. I was somebody who never really enjoyed working out or exercising. I did it rather be grudgingly.
However for some reason, one day I had an idea that I was going to change how I thought about exercise. I started to say over and over to myself how much I enjoyed working out, how much I enjoyed going to the gym even though at the time I didn't feel that way at all.
What happened was quite remarkable. Over the next few weeks and months I found myself actually starting to look forward to going to the gym.
For someone who did not like exercise at all this was revolutionary for me. I had often tried in the past to be consistent but just hated it. However the more I started changing my script about how I thought about the gym and exercising the more I actually started to change myself. Before long I found myself getting certified as a personal trainer and had a thriving business. I was completely booked and had more clients than I knew what to do with.
I had no idea at the time that I was rewriting the screenplay of my life and stepping into a new role as a personal trainer. I saw myself as a star trainer and would tell myself this over and over again. One day I actually got stopped when I was out grocery shopping. I had come straight from the gym and had a jacket on that said trainer on the back. Somebody asked me if I was a celebrity trainer on a TV show that they were watching. I had literally created a brand new reality. I had been telling myself a brand new story. I was new to the industry and yet I had more clients than many people who had been training for years. It was simply about the story that I was telling myself. I was a star trainer, and people loved to train with me. I kept telling myself that and that's what started to show up in my reality.
If you want the story of your life to change then you have to change the story. you can't keep telling yourself the same old things over and over again and expect things to change.
Don't worry about trying to change the way you feel. that will come in time. When I started to change the script about working out. I certainly did not feel like I wanted to work out. however the more I changed the script in my head I started to become that character. don't give up. be persistent.
Just as a writer sits down with pen and paper to create a new story, I encourage you to do the same thing.
How do you want your life to look in one year, 5 years, 10 years? Write it down. What kind of person do you want to be? write it down. write down the story of your life. The pen is in your hand and you can choose to become any person that you want to be.
You must change your story if you want to change your life. If you change your inner dialogue you are going to change the outside world. Don't believe the lie that an old dog can't learn new tricks. That has been Scientifically disproven. Your brain is always changing and making new connections. It's called neuroplasticity.
The Days of Our Lives are going to pass anyway. Why not do this as an experiment. The days are going to pass anyway. Each day is an opportunity to remake yourself into someone new. stop talking about all the things that you don't want to be and instead start focusing on being the person that you want.
You can literally change your personality traits. I never saw myself in the past as being somebody who enjoyed exercise. By scripting a new me and telling myself that I Loved exercise and couldn't wait to go to the gym, slowly but surely it started to happen. Now it didn't happen overnight. It was like a slow Dawning. little by little I Was changing.
Now if I can change myself, so can you. What character traits do you want to have? Do you want to be confident? Do you want to be magnetic? Do you want to enjoy exercise and eat the right portions for your body? Do you want to be disciplined with an amazing work ethic? Write it all down until you haven't left out one detail.
Start scripting a new you and it will happen. This is the difference between an okay actor and a brilliant actor. they literally become the character that they're going to play. So what character do you want to play in this movie called life?
